[VIDEO] Fail Of The Year! Jermaine Marshall Just Made History

Things were looking pretty good for Greek team Ae Nea Kifisia. In a Greek league playoff game against Aris Thessaloniki, they were up 95:93 with 5 seconds to play. An Aris player was at the line to shoot one more freethrow! He missed. A Kifisia player got the rebound and – you know the drill – should have tried to let time run out, or get fouled. he did, at least until the last second of the game. But then Jermaine Marshall got open and recieved a pass.

Instead of holding on to the ball, he drove to the basket, went for the lay-up and made the basket – His own (the team’s own) basket!!!!!! 95:95! Overtime!The fans and Marshall’s team-members couldn’t believe what they’ve just witnessed. This will go down as one of the biggest mistakes, a boneheaded play for the ages, in basketball history.

In overtime, the inevitable happened. Aris won 108:103 and now leads the series 2:0.
