Dirk Nowitzki Praises LeBron James
In a recent interview, Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki was asked about his thoughts on LeBron James’ 2-4, well 2-4.5, Finals record. We all know Dirk Nowitzki is one of the main reasons why it isn’t 3-3 (VIDEO). In true fashion, humble and appreciative as always, Dirk Nowitzki’s answer is full of respect for LeBron. I completly agree with Dirk. In fact, I always have and will agree with Dirk.
“I mean, to me, getting there six times in a row is absolutely incredible. If you see what happened in some of the Finals, I think he was obviously overmatched against the Spurs back then [in 2007]. Last year, they didn’t have two of his superstars. So you can go down the line and talk about every Finals series, but I think he’s the best all-around player this league has seen probably for a long, long time. What he did last year in the Finals was incredible to me with K. Love and Kyrie out, how he carried the load, iso’d, pick-and-rolled, posted up every single time down. I don’t think there’s a lot of players in this league who could have done that.”
