LeBron James to the NFL? Buffalo Bills Coach Ryan offers LeBron TE-Position
Even though LeBron is currently fighting for his 3rd ring, Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan would love to welcome LeBron James to suit up for his team.
Ryan said:
“I don’t know a whole lot about basketball, but that big ol‘ rascal [James] can come play tight end for us, if he wants to.”
Physical stregth is important in the NFL, but the transition definitely would be tough as LeBron hasn’t played any organized football since his junior year in high school. BUT, Lebron was a great high school player, good enough to be an All-State player in his sophomore year. He even got recruited by Urban Meyer, who at that time, was the wide receivers coach at Notre Dame.
“I think it would work out well. You look at him. He’s physical. Unbelievable. Look at the range. There’s nobody that can cover him. There’s no way you can cover him. Fast, physical. We’ll give it a shot.”
Ryan continued.
To be honest, LeBron to the NFL? It’s highly unlikely – however it’s interesting to think about it,. Could he dominate on the field as much as he dominates on the court?
But apparently LeBron’s football dream isn’t dead because he wants to play in one NFL game before it’s over, at least that’s what he said in a tweet back in 2013.
"@TylerC_2: @KingJames would you ever consider playing in one pro football game? In any league?"(I wanna play one NFL game before it's over)
