Never Compare Chris Webber To Darko Milicic Or He Will Flip Out

David Kahn, former president of basketball operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves, was a guest at the commentary desk during the 2010 summer leauge, joining Chris Webber. It was just after the Timberwolves had traded for Darko Milicic, who, in the words of Kahn, was “like manna from heaven.”

They started a conversation about Darko and Kahn compared Milicic to Chris Webber, mainly because Kahn thought Webber also was struggling early in his career. C-Webb though, never really struggled in the NBA, he averaged 17.5 points in his rookie year and over 20 points per game in every other season with Washington. The end of the conversation is pure gold, when Chris Webber looked down and mumbled “good luck” under his breath…
