Everything You Need To Know From Last Night’s Games (11/9/2016)
– The Knicks won bragging rights in New York as they beat the Nets in the first derby of the season.
– The Nets started off brilliantly and opened up a 13 point lead.
– Carmelo Anthony started 0-6 from the field before getting hot and hitting 6 straight shots for the Knicks in the third quarter.
– He then went cold again at the end of the third and the entire fourth quarter in a bizarre shooting display.
– The Wizards destroyed the Celtics in Washington.
– The Celtics have seemed to hit a little wall and are struggling their last couple of games.
– Otto Porter had himself a night with 34 Points.
– Kemba Walker was the high man with 21 Points as the Hornets bet the Jazz.
– Every Hornets player scored on the night.
– The Timberwolves FINALLY got a win on the board as they beat the Magic in Orlando.
– Zach Lavine was out of his mind as he went off for 37 Points hitting 7/9 three pointers in the win.
– Nikola Vucevic had 24 points and 14 rebounds.
– The 76ers and Pacers played out an entertaining contest in Indiana.
– With the 76ers on top, they gave up their big lead and with Jeff Teague hitting a big three and Paul George sinking a wing jumper, the game was sent into Overtime.
– The Pacers and George then took control on overtime and won the contest.
– Joel Embiid did not play.
– The Atlanta Hawks continued their impressive form with a win of the Bulls.
– Another team effort from the Hawks as everyone scored was the difference in the end.
– Jimmy Butler had 39 points of his own in the loss.
– The Raptors went into Oklahoma and beat the Thunder.
– DeMar DeRozan just continues to score the basketball as he had another 37 points. Definitely emerging as a dark horse for scoring champion.
– Kyle Lowry was 1 rebound away from a triple double.
– Westbrook had 7 assists with 8 turnovers.
– Eric Bledsoe had 21 points and 11 rebounds in the Suns win against the Pistons.
– It was close throughout but the Suns rode their home crowd to victory.
– James Harden filled the stat sheet again as the Rockets hung on in San Antonio.
– He had a triple double of 24 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds in the contest.
– He nearly cost the Rockets at the end of the game with two missed free throws and 2 offensive fouls but the Rockets escaped as Kawhi Leonard missed a running game winner and Aldridge couldn’t tip it home as the final whistle sounded.
– The Spurs have now lost three games at home in a row.
– The Los Angeles Clippers embarrass the Portland Trailblazers in LA.
– The Clippers were outstanding to start the game, and the game was all but over at halftime.
– Damian Lillard and the trailblazers were simply awful as he had 8 points on 1/10 Shooting. CJ Mcollum had 8 points on 4/11 Shooting, Mason Plumlee went 1/12 (you get it, it was a bad, bad night)
– No one on the Trailblazers scored in double digits expect Shabazz Napier off the bench.
– Golden State were too good for the Mavericks after a hot start from Klay Thompson.
– In the blink of an eye, he had 18 points in the middle of the first period.
