Giannis Antetokounmpo Had Know Clue That His Coach Jason Kidd Was An NBA Star

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo talked about the first time his former coach, Jason Kidd, benched him, in a Sports Illustrated feature. Giannis truly was upset with his coach, but had to look up his NBA stats, not knowing how great of a player Kidd was, to check if the coach even knew what he was talking about. When he looked up his coach, he was in for a huge surprise:

“I was like, ‘Let’s see what this guy did in his career, anyway,’ ” Antetokounmpo recounts, and called up Kidd’s bio on his phone. “I saw Rookie of the Year, NBA championship, USA Olympic gold medal, second in assists, fifth in made threes, blah, blah, blah. I was like, ‘Jesus freaking Christ, how can I compete with that? I better zip it.’”
