Though Rose’s absence was for family reasons, the Knicks have still decided to fine him because of the trouble he caused amongst the media and his overall image with the team.
The $200,000 Rose will cough up is 1/110th of his $21 million salary.
Rose made his return to the Knicks scoring 25 points along with four assists on 11/16 shooting in Wednesday’s 98-97 devastating loss to Philadelphia.
