Jrue And Justin – Holiday Brothers’ Dream Of Playing Together Next Season
New York Knicks shooting guard Justin Holiday reveals he and brother, New Orleans Pelicans star Jrue Holiday have talked about the possibility of playing together next season.
Jrue is set to hit free agency in the upcoming offseason as so his brother. Multiple reports have suggested that Jrue will have many suitors, as the New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers are expected to have interest in signing the point guard. Should Jrue decide to leave New Orleans, the fact that his brothers play in New York could affect his decision where he will play next season.
”If we can play together, that would be a dream come true and we’d be successful doing it,” Justin Holiday told the New York Post. ”We both want to win and both know each other’s game in and out. We both know what we’re going to get from each other when we play together. It just makes sense.”
The elder of the two, Justin, insists that pairing him with his brother Jrue could bring some great stuff on the table for a team.
”I’m not saying just because he’s my brother,” Holiday of the Knicks added. ”But I know when we play together, good things happen because we know each other’s game so well. We do play hard on both ends of the floor. When you have that at both positions, it’s going to help.”
In his debut season in the Big Apple, Justin Holiday is averaging 7.4 points, 1.1 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game off the bench. On the other side, Jrue Holiday is putting up some good number in New Orleans, scoring 16.2 points, dishing 7.3 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game on the season.
It remains to be seen if the Holiday brothers will be sharing the same side of the court in the 2017-2018 NBA season.
