2017 NBA Draft Lottery Standings And Odds

This year’s NBA Draft class is supposedly on of the best ones in recent history. But who has the best chances to snatch a top pick? Berfore we get to that, here are a few things upfront.

Every team not making the playoffs will be in the Draft Lottery, with the team who’s having the worst record getting the highest probability of drafting at #1. Only the first three picks will be drawn, picks 4 through 14 will be awarded based on team records, with the next-worst record going fourth, and so on. Ties are broken by a coinflip.

On top of all these rules, there are some more things to take notice of. The Boston Celtics will get the Brooklyn Nets’ draft pick, still due to the Garnett and Pierce trade a couple of years ago.

The Los Angeles Lakers will lose their pick to the Philadelphia 76ers if it falls out of the top three. The Sacramento Kings’ draft situation is the most complicated. If the Kings’ pick is inside the top 10, the Philadelphia 76ers have the right to swap picks with them. If it falls outside the top 10, the pick will go to the Chicago Bulls, but the New Orleans Pelicans’ pick will go to Sacramento unless it is a top three pick.

With all this taken into consideration, these are the odds for every team to get the #1 draft pick, or a top 3 lotter pick.
