CJ McCollum’s Amazing Trash-Talk To Draymond Green After Missed Dunk
I’m a big fan of trash-talking. I love to trash-talk when I’m playing in the gym, and I also love when NBA players trash-talk each other (to some extent).
Game one of the Warriors-Blazers series was easily the most entertaining game of these playoffs so far. The game went back and forth with incredible individual performances. Both, CJ McCollum and Draymond Green had very strong indiviudal performances. McCollum finished with 41 points and Green stuffed the stat sheet with his 19 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 blocks and 3 steals. On top of that, they trash-talkes each other.
Well, it appears that CJ initiated the talking when Drayomond Green missed a dunk.
After this missed dunk, McCollum told Green to do more calf raises.
“Yeah, he told me I need to do more calf raises. No, we were talking back and forth the entire game, but that’s just a part of the game. It’s mutual respect both ways.”
CJ McCollum confirmed saying it in his post game press conference, adding just like Green, that both players have a huge amount of respect for each other. He said:
“It’s nothing disrespectful, I’m not talking about nobody’s mamas or anything like that.”
As long as the trash-talking stays on the court, with both players respecting each other, it is amazing for the fans and teammates. Damian Lillard agreed and said:
“I think the league has softened up a lot, and it’s not like that, so you’ve got to have a rough guy like him out there. I think it’s necessary. I think their team depends on him to be that dog out there and to be that person.”
Let’s hope that game two will be as exciting and breathtaking as game one. May the trash-talking continue.
