Russell Westbrook: “I Don’t Give A F**k About The Statline, We Lost”
Last night, Russell Westbrook was both; historically great, and historically bad.
51 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds (1st 50 point triple-double in playoff history) aren’t enough when you shoot 4 for 18 in the 4th quarter (most missed shots for a quarter in a playoff game). Westbrook shot 43 times last night. Let that sink in – 43!
17/43 (39%) from the field, 2/11 (18%) from 4, 10 assists in the first half, 3 assists in the 2nd, 6 teammates were shooting 50% or better.
In the end, Westbrook’s hero ball wasn’t enough to beat the Rockets’ team ball down the stretch. The Rockets now lead the series 2 games to none.
During the post game press conference, Westbrook was asked about his triple-double and said he didn’t care, ‘not safe for work’ style.
