Allen Iverson Destroys Tim Hardaway’s ‘Crossover Claim’ With A One Sentence Reply

If you think about the crossover move in basketball, who comes into your mind first? I bet the younger ones of you just thought ‘Oh, Allen Iverson’ – and that is exactly what bothers Tim Hardaway, who claims that he is the creator of the OG crossover.

“The crossover. Everybody says Allen Iverson. I’m going to tell you this and I tell everybody this: Allen Iverson carried the basketball. I had the original killer crossover and people are doing my move. They’re not doing Allen Iverson’s move. They’re not doing nobody else’s move. They’re still trying to perfect my move as the killer crossover and it’s my move, all right? That’s the way it is. I brought a unique style to the game.”

While the crossover became a signature move for Allen Iverson, Hardaway also has a point by saying that he is the one making the killer crossover fashionable in the league.

But saying that Allen Iverson simply carried the ball, that won’t be left unanswered by ‘The Answer’. In a Bleacher Report feature, Iverson spoke about these allegations in true A.I fashion.

B/R: Did you hear what Tim Hardaway said about your crossover?

“I’m going to tell you this and I tell everybody this: Allen Iverson carried the basketball,” Hardaway told NBA.com’s Scott Howard-Cooper. “I had the original killer crossover and people are doing my move. They’re not doing Allen Iverson’s move. They’re not doing nobody else’s move. They’re still trying to perfect my move as the killer crossover and it’s my move, all right? That’s the way it is. I brought a unique style to the game.”

Iverson: Yeah, I heard about it.

B/R: Any response?

Iverson: I carried my crossover all the way into the Hall of Fame. So, there you go.

There is a reason he goes by ‘The Answer’…

By the way; check out how Allen Iverson learned his crossover from a Georgetown walk on.
