Kevin Durant Believes He Should’ve Been On All-NBA First Team

The 2016-2017 All-NBA Teams were announced yesterday and Kevin Durant made the All-NBA 2nd Team. He was not really d’accord with it and believes that he should have made the First Team.

Durant had a great year, averaging 25.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 blocks while shooting 53.7% from the field and 87.5% from the line, but LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard also had an amazing year, both deserving a spot in the First Team. To be fair, without the injury and missing so many games, Durant may have made the first team though.

Nontheless, he respects the voting results. He said:

“They got it right, I guess. I don’t even know what the criteria is, but they got it right. They got somebody that’s averaging a triple-double, they gotta keep him on. It’s hard to come up with those teams. So many great players. So many players had great seasons … Just grateful to be part of the list. Obviously I feel like I should be a First Team player, but it is what it is, just keep working, keep getting better, building a foundation I set 10 years ago.”
