Worse Than Zaza: Dewayne Dedmon Attempts To Take Out Curry’s Knees
As someone who called Zaza Pachulia’s play on Kawhi Leonard dirty, I have to admit that this is next level.
“Dewayne Dedmond threw his knee into Stephen Curry’s knee at a sideways angle. This is the easiest way to purposefully tear a guy’s knee ligament. I believe this is what a doctor/PT would call a valgus force. This type of force on the knee causes damage to the MCL because knees have very limited mobility in the side to side direction. If your knee isn’t locked or your foot isn’t planted, you can kind of redirect that force to avoid injury. When the knee is locked and the foot is planted, there is nowhere else for that force to go. The knee gives out relatively easily since knees are pretty unstable joints. That’s when an MCL tear happens. Luckily for Curry and the warriors, his knee was not locked.”

The Spurs complained a lot about Zaza’s dirty play, but this one is way worse. Thankfully Curry wasn’t injured.
