WWE Had To Issue An Apologetic Statement Because Of LaMelo Ball

The past episode of WWE’s Monday night Raw episode had parts of the Ball family as special guests. LaVar, Lonzo, and LaMelo Ball appeared in a segment with The Miz.

When LaVar took off his shirt, confronting and challenging The Miz, his 15-year old son LaMelo used the n-word twice on the live microphones saying:

“Beat that n***a ass”

Almost immediately after LaMelo Ball dropping the racial slur, Raw went to commercial. After the break, the Ball family was gone, and were never mentioned again for the rest of the show.

A 15-year old dropping racial slurs on live TV, ended with the WWE issuing a statement, apologizing and saying that this wasn’t part of the script.

“The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values,”

The The Wrestling Observer reported, that according to one person backstage, the key front office people of WWE, Kevin Dunn and Vince McMahon, were very unhappy backstage when the word was audible to the crowd.

I guess this was the last time that a Ball family member was part of a WWE show.
