Latest Free Agent Buzz – Where Will Players End Up?
This year’s offseason has been crazy so far. The Western Conference is now looking stronger than ever. Superstars such as Chris Paul, Gordon Hayward, Paul Millsap, Jimmy Butler and Paul George left their former teams via trade or free agency. Most of the ‘valuable’ free agents signed with teams already, and it hasn’t even been a week since free agency started.
But there are still plenty of free-agent players on the market, who are looking to sign with a new team, or re-sign with their old team.
Check out the latest rumors about the players who still are free-agents.
James Johnson:
After having a career year last season, averaging 12.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, the Miami Heat try their best to re-sign him. According to AP reports, Johnson and the Heat are nearing a deal.
Tony Allen:
The defensive bulldog could be heading to California. The Los Angeles Clippers are interested in adding Allen’s talent to their team. This will most likely happen via a sign-and-trade with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Kenneth Faried:
He’s not a free agent, but Millsap and Jokic are the new top dogs, and one of the most interesting front-court duos in the league. This leaves Faried without a starting position. Faried could be on the move, according to reports, many teams are interested in trading for him.
Nerlens Noel:
Mark Cuban said resigning Noel would be the Mavericks’ top priority this off-season. But according to HoopsHype, the Atlanta Hawks seem very interested in signing Noel, too.
Kelly Olynyk:
The Celtics had to renounce Kelly Olynyk to clear cap space for Gordon Hayward. Plenty of teams are interested in Olynyk. The Nets, Jazz, Pacers and Kings and Jazz all want to have the big man on their team once the new season starts.
JaVale McGee:
The Warriors will try to re-sign him, both teams in Los Angeles can offer him more money. Both L.A bound teams, the Lakers and Clippers, are interested in acquiring McGee’s talents.
