Honoring Fisher Floyd – The Best Half-Time Performance In NBA History

Let’s take a look back to the best in game performance by a fan in NBA history. In 2009, Dallas Mavericks fan Fisher Floyd, a season-ticket holder with seats behind the home bench, swished four shots at Mavs game during half time – including a half court shot.

On December 13th, 2012 Fisher died at the age of 30 in a small plane crash.

“He was a friend of the Mavericks, a friend of mine”

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said, who also attended and spoke at Floyd’s funeral, wearing the tie that was around his neck on June 12, 2011, the night the Mavs’ clinched their championship in Miami. Carlisle wore it again one week later, when the Mavericks honored Floyd with a moment of silence before the game and again at halftime, showed the video of the Floyd swishing a layup, free throw, 3-pointer and halfcourt shot in what was ‘The Best Half-Time Performance In NBA History”.

“This will be the last time the tie is ever worn,”
