DeMar DeRozan & Kyle Lowry Aren’t Allowed To Ride Uber Or Lyft Together Anymore

Toronto Raptors All-Stars Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan aren’t just teammates but also close friends. They’re basically doing everything together, which includes taking an Uber to games.

While the rest of the team takes the team bus to practices when on the road, the two went on their own in a Taxi, Uber or Lyft. But now, unfortunately for them, they aren’t allowed to do this anymore.

Lowry told ESPN that the Raptors started to evaluate the risks, and came to the conclusion that from now on they permit players to travel without the team, in any way.

“It’s a rule they put in for our team, It’s part of the cultural reset. We’re just trying to make sure we’re all on the same page, so we understand it. It wasn’t dangerous, nothing ever happened to us. We used to walk back from Cleveland’s arena during the (2016) Eastern Conference finals. It was fun while it lasted.”

I can fully understand the reasoning behind this, but some Uber drivers won’t be in for the surprise of being able to drive two NBA All-Stars around.
