John Wall Praises De’Aaron Fox
De’Aaron Fox was the 5th pick of this year’s NBA draft, and the young point guard has impressed so far.
Through his first six career games, he has very respectable averages: 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in 26 minutes off the bench. But the NBA still is a learning process for Fox, who was held to only two points on 1-of-8 shooting against the Washington Wizards and their star point guard John Wall. Wall, just like Fox a Kentucky Wildcats alum, had the highest praises for Fox after the game, nontheless.
“He’s been great for those guys,” Wall told Sactown Royalty. “He’s got some great veterans around that’s going to help him. Just getting adjusted to the game. He’s very fast, he’s very athletic, he knows how to play the game. He shoots the ball better than what I did coming in. I think it’s just finding a comfortability to know when to be aggressive and when to find his teammates with a young team.”
With this statement, Wall is adding up to what he has been saying all summer long. Shortly after the draft, the All-Star said that he believes that De’Aaron Fox will have a better career than Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball, who also are point guards and have been the number one and two picks of this past draft.
