Manu Ginobili’s Son Had The Most Fitting Costume Choice

Halloween is a big thing at Manu Ginobili’s house. The Argentinian veteran is father to three sons who are in the perfect age for some Halloween fun.
The two older twins are seven years old, and Manu’s youngest son is three.

While the twins chose to be a ghost and a ninja for Halloween, Luca, Ginobili’s youngest son, inadvertently had the most fitting costume choice – a bat.

“The 3-year-old’s choice raised eyebrows, considering Ginobili’s painful history with the creature of the night.”

A little bit of context: Halloween night 2009, a bat disrupted the NBA game between San Antonio Spurs and the Sacramento Kings. The bat had already caused for game interuptions twice, when Ginobili took matters into his own hands, literally. Manu smacked the bat to the ground, and the game was able to continue. After the game, Ginobili, who needed to get rabies shots, said:

“When you can’t dunk anymore, you have to find a way to make it into the news. So that’s what I did. I grabbed a bat. I didn’t think it was a big deal. Then the whole arena started chanting my name.”
