Announcer Of LaMelo and LiAngelo’s New Team Breaks Into ‘Welcome Song’ Mid-Broadcast

This is probably the funniest thing I’ve seen all week.

You probably have heard that Lonzo Ball’s brothers, LiAngelo and LaMelo, have signed professional contracts with Lithuanian team Prienu Vytautas. In becoming professional players, both ended their NCAA eligibility. According to club president Prienu Vytautas, the brothers will report to the club in early January.

But the hype appears to be real and everyone in the team is excited, including the announcer. Prior to Vytautas Prienu’s most recent game yesterday, the announcer started off the broadcast with a special welcome for LiAngelo and LaMelo. Then, out of nowhere, he began to sing a song dedicated to the brothers.

“Welcome to Lithuania. Welcome to Lithuania. Welcome to Lithuania. The land of beautiful basketball.”

If this will be a regular thing, I might have to check how to get a Lithuanian League Pass to watch their games.
