All-Star Starters’ Draft Order Revealed
As you all know, the All-Star Game format has been revolutionized for this year.
For the first time in All-Star Game history, two captains (the All-Star starters with the most fan votes in their respective conferences), LeBron James and Stephen Curry drafted the All-Star teams from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves.
Unfortunately, this draft wasn’t televised (this may change next year), and the speculations began. The only thing we knew for certain is that Kevin Durant was the first pick… Until now!
In a recent podcast, Brian Windhorst of ESPN provided the entire starter round of the All-Star Draft (plus the first pick of the reserve round).
Starters:
1. Kevin Durant (picked by LeBron James)
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo (picked by Stephen Curry)
3. Anthony Davis (LeBron)
4. James Harden (Curry)
5. Kyrie Irving (LeBron)
6. Joel Embiid (Curry)
7. DeMarcus Cousins (LeBron)
8. DeMar DeRozan (Curry)
Reserves
1. Klay Thompson (Curry)
