The Pelicans Trolled Skip Bayless For His Davis Statement

Last week, Skip Bayless took a shot at New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis, calling him the most overrated player in the NBA.

While this statement alone is just plain wrong, Davis has proved that the statement is even worse, in the meantime. Ever since DeMarcus Cousins went down, Davis has been on a tear. The Pelicans have won six straight games and the All-Star has averaged 41.5 points, 15.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 3.2 blocks through these games.

In last night’s game against the Phoenix Suns, Davis had 53 points, 18 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 blocks, joining Bob McAdoo as the only players with at least 50 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks in a single game in NBA history. The Pelicans’ social media team used this insane game to roast Bayless for his ridiculous comments.
