Evan Turner With An Incredibly Savage Message For His Critics
Portland Trail Blazers small forward Evan Turner is averaging 8.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 25 minutes this season. These numbers don’t look too bad for a guy coming off the bench, but many people criticize Turner nontheless, mainly due to his contract.
Turner is on the second year of a four-year, $70 million contract and fans have been taunting him for that.
But Turner himself couldn’t care less and has a very harsh message for his critics. He told Jason Quick of NBC Sports Northwest:
“First off, let me say one thing: Everything I have done, I have earned. My contract – that’s my bread, and I earned my bread. So, kiss my ass. Dead serious. Write that. I earned that f**king money.”
While the words may be a little bit over the top, he essentially is right. Turner is a key guy for Portland, a team that has high hopes for this year’s postseason. The Blazers currently own the 3rd seed in the hard fought West and will be looking to make some noise. Maybe Turner can silence his critics in the playoffs.
