Roger Mason Says Big 3 Is Racist, Referring To Black Athletes As “Rich Ni**ers”
Some NBA legends, paired up with 3-on-3 basketball and a four point shot, touring the bigger cities in the nation during the NBA offseason. Sounds like a great idea.
It turned out to be a success. The league recorded an average of 11,000 people in attendance every weekend, and broadcaster Fox Sports picked up their option for the second season.
So you would think that things couldn’t run any smoother for the two founders, Ice Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz. But you’re wrong. Last year, The New York Post reported that the Big3 has been sued for $250 million by the Champions Basketball League, now, after Roger Mason was fired as commissioner of the Big 3 league, he has retaliated with strong statements, saying that the league discriminates black athletes.
“The work environment at BIG3 has been hostile and racist resulting in the departure of valuable League personnel. Among other matters, a former employee of BIG3 recently told me that Kwatinetz has repeatedly referred to black athletes as “‘rich ni**ers.'”
