G League Player Zeke Upshaw In Critical Condition After Collapsing On Court
Last night’s G-League game between the Grand Rapids Drive, the Detroit Pistons’ G-League affiliate, and the Long Island Nets, the Brookly Nets’ G-League affiliate, ended in a shock.
In the final seconds of the game, Drive player Zeke Upshaw collapsed and was rushed to a hospital. According to a report from Wood TV 8, Upshaw was in cardiac arrest and was last reported to be in critical condition.
Upshaw is in his second season with the team, and averaged 8.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in 41 games this season.
The swingman played three seasons at Illinois State before finishing his college career with a year at Hofstra. After he went undrafted in the NBA Draft, he joined the G-Leauge.
