Kobe Bryant Surprised Notre Dame’s Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale went from zero to hero last week, when she drained back-to-back game-winning buzzer-beaters for Notre Dame in the Final Four. The first one was in the semis against UConn, in overtime, the second one came in the Final against Mississippi State.
Kobe Bryant was in the stands for the game against UConn, cheering on Ogunbowale’s oppenent, due to Kobe being good friends with coach Geno Auriemma. In a postgame interview, she said that she had the Mamba Mentality and “Kobe’s here so that’s who I tried to channel.”
Bryant then gave Ogunbowale a shoutout on Twitter.
