Russell Westbrook & Carmelo Anthony React To Paul George’s New Nickname
Just recently, Paul George went through the longest shooting drought of his career. The All-Star had somehow lost his touch and wasn’t able to shoot 50% or above from the field from Feburary 15 until the last game of the regular season. Two months with subpar shooting.
But thankfully for him, and the Thunder, the drought has ended. In last night’s Game 1 of the Western Confercene first round series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Utah Jazz, George went for 36 points. He made 13 of his 20 field goal attempts and set a new franchise playoff record with his eight made three pointers.
This performance led to George being awarded with a new nickname. PG13 is gone for now, because over the course of the postseason, his new name is ‘Playoff P’.
His teammates Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony weren’t aware of the name change, but found out during their post-game press conference. One reporter asked a question involving George and named him by his new nickname.
