Markelle Fultz Joins Fans To Cheer For Throwback Player T.J. McConnell
The Philadelphia 76ers finally got a foot on the ground in their Eastern Conference semi finals series against the Boston Celtics and won their ‘do-or-die’ game. While they’re still down 3-1, they have shown some promising improvement.
One of the team’s vocal leaders performed brilliantly, T.J McConnell. With his oldschool playing style and his competitive spirit, McConnell finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists on 9 of 12 shooting. His performance was awarded with chants from the fans. When T.J was subbed out of the game, Markelle Fultz joined the fans by cheering for McConnell from the bench.

Then, after the game Sixers head coach Brett Brown had nothing but praises for T.J. McConnell and said:
“And I really felt, when I personally zoomed in, what can I do to help the team the most was to remind them how good of a season they have had — to retain, maintain, increase their spirit and try to focus on that as much as anything.”
“And there’s no other player to catapult the start of the game with that mindset than T.J. And the decision was based on a lot of other things but that was the main thing – just the energy and the spirit.”
