Kenyon Martin Says Some Teammates Dislike Chris Paul Because He’s Sneaky

Former big man Kenyon Martin had a great NBA career playing for the New Jersey Nets, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks. The former All-Star had his best years in New Jersey, where he averaged almost 17 points from 2001 to 2004.

Martin also played for the Los Angeles Clippers for half a season and was teammates with Chris Paul, who according to Martin, he actually isn’t very well liked around the league.

Kenyon was a guest on ‘The Herd’ and talked about why so many players don’t like CP3. He said that one couldn’t trust him:

“People think he’s a politician, and people don’t trust politicians. He does things inside the locker room that some teammates question. Dealing with management and coaches, people deem it as sneaky, things like that, but you don’t know what’s going on behind the closed doors and speculation.”

“They think he has a hidden agenda that doesn’t include the rest of the 14 guys….for some guys it’s deeper than basketball, it’s about can I trust you…and sometimes it comes across as being selfish at times.”
