On January 26, Milwaukee Bucks rookie Sterling Brown was tased and arrested by the police.
Police explained that the rookie was arrested while “an electronic control device was deployed” to detain him. Why? His car was parked across two handicapped spaces outside a Walgreens (in the middle of the night).
Yesterday, we reported that the body cam video of the incident will be released to the public. It was released last night and caused a lot of controversy.
Sterling Brown released a statement on Twitter talking about the incident, abuse of power and racism towards minorities.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks released their own statement and didn’t hold back their disappointment, offering Brown their full support.
“The abuse and intimidation that Sterling experienced at the hands of Milwaukee Police was shameful and inexcusable. Sterling has our full support as he shares his story and takes action to provide accountability.”
