Twitter Reacts To Vince Carter Signing With The Atlanta Hawks
Yesterday, Vince Carter agreed to a one-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks!
Just like Dirk Nowitzki, Carter will be heading into his 21st NBA season. He will be an important veteran presence in a very young Atlanta locker room. Lottery pick Trae Young for example was born on September 19, 1998, three months after Carter had been drafted by the Golden State Warriors. 20 years later they’re now teammates.
NBA Twitter reacted with some great stats and some old man jokes. Check it out.
228 different players have played at least one game as a teammate of Vince Carter’s.
According to @EliasSports that is the 2nd-most for any player in NBA history, trailing only Juwan Howard with 236 pic.twitter.com/3dhuGpSCyD

I have called every game @mrvincecarter15 played against the @ATLHawks over the years. Great to have him with our young guys.

Someday, LeBron James will have grandkids, and they'll have grandkids, and one of THEIR grandkids will make the NBA.
Vince Carter will dunk on that kid.

Vince Carter is one of just 3 active players in the NBA to have played in the 1990s, along with Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry https://t.co/vP2H7INSdq

Vince Carter's last four stops have been Dallas, Memphis, Sacramento and Atlanta. No one can accuse him of ring chasing.
— Ira Winderman (@IraHeatBeat) July 25, 2018
Kind of wish Vince Carter would go ahead & chase a ring at this point. Watching him play for the Hawks feels like a waste. I understood him getting that 👜 from Sacramento. But he should be on a playoff team, at least, for the vet mininum

I'm not even joking, I want a ring for Vince Carter more than he wants one himself. Smh, Atlanta. https://t.co/xikOss6qts

Not only was Vince Carter drafted 3 months before Trae Young was born, Vince was born 8 months before Trae’s father (Rayford Young) was born. pic.twitter.com/tCUjYE1csc
