Paul George Was Unstoppable At Team USA Mini Camp

After the Oklahoma City Thunder were eliminated early in this year’s playoffs, most people thought that this also was the last time we’d see Paul George wearing a Thunder jersey.

Everything was set up for a homecoming to Los Angeles. But after in last year’s offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers were fined $500,000 for tampering with Paul George, they had a pretty cringy free agent pitch to PG.

Last summer, the Lakers were reluctant to trade important assets for a player who would likely sign with them anyway. That’s the risk the Lakers were willing to take in order to keep both of their lottery picks, Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram, from the past two years. It turns out the Lakers played themselves, as Paul George re-signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder (four-year deal worth $136.9 million) to take care of some unfinished business.

George seems to be a man on a mission, also at Team USA mini camp. No matter who was trying to defend him, they all got cooked – Kevin Durant, Victor Oladipo, Devin Booker and Khris Middleton.

PG was unstoppable during the one-on-one drills.
