NBA Reporter Claims To Have Source, Confirming That Kevin Durant Will Join Lakers Next Season

This year’s offseason started with a bang, as the LeBron era in Cleveland had come to an end after James signed a four-year, $154 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Next year’s offseason may start with another bang and, for a second straight year, the Lakers may be the reason why. One thing is for certain; the Los Angeles Lakers will have cap space for one more max contract. While Kawhi Leonard and Klay Thompson have been rumored as potential candidates, NBA writer and insider Brandon Robinson claims to have a source who confirmed to him that Kevin Durant will join the Lakers next offseason.

Spoke to a source today who confirmed Kevin Durant will be a LA Laker next year. “Just like LeBron planned his move LA a year or more earlier, #KD is doing the same right now. They want to form the best duo in the NBA and set up KD to be the face of the Lakers post-#LeBron.”
