Draymond Green Thinks Today’s Warriors Would Beat 1995-96 Chicago Bulls

From 1991 to 1998, the Michael Jordan led Chicago Bulls won 6 Championships. To this day, these Bulls have one of the NBA’s greatest (the greatest?) dynasties.

This Bulls team was responsible for popularizing the NBA worldwide. The team generated a hype everywhere they played, selling out arenas in no time on a daily basis. Every other team wanted to beat these Bulls, only a few succeeded in this task.

The Bulls won a record setting 72 games during the 1995–96 NBA season, a record that stood until the Golden State Warriors won 73 games during the 2015–16 NBA season. Now these Warriors are on the verge of becoming the NBA’s next great dynasty. The Warriors have won three of the last four NBA titles (losing the Finals in that other year) and are the huge favorites to repeat this season, too.

While the Warriors still have a long way ahead of them, to even be named in one sentence with these Bulls, they’re on the right way. The team will be stronger this season once again, and it isn’t unlikely that the Warriors will end the season winning their 4th championship in 5 years.

Warriors forward Draymond Green now said in an interview, that his Warriors would not only beat the 80s Lakers, but aso these ’96 Chicago Bulls:

“I’m usually very reluctant in saying ‘Yeah, we’re better than those teams in the 80s or the ’96 Bulls. It’s all subjective. Do I think we could have beat the Lakers of the 80s? Yes. Do I think we can beat the ’96 Bulls? Yes. But I think we’d beat them in the way the game is played today.”
