Kyle Lowry Explains Why He’s Still Doing His And DeMar’s Pre-Game Best Friends Handshake Routine

Toronto Raptors All-Stars Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan weren’t just teammates but also close friends. They were basically doing everything together, on and off the court.

But, as we all know, DeRozan got traded to the Spurs and left his best friend in Toronto. Alone!

Kyle Lowry brought people to tears when he performed his and DeMar’s best friend handshake before the first game of the season. Alone! With air as his counterpart.

Lowry now explained why he still does his old pre-game handshake with DeRozan on NBA TV.

“He’s always going to be my best friend.”
