Gregg Popovich Was Scared To Death By LeBron James Billboard
A couple of weeks ago, we reported that LeBron James’ biggest advertising partner, Nike, had put up a new, huge LeBron billboard just steps away from Staples Center.
Everywhere you go, LeBron James is omnipresent in the city of angles. Both the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott hotels for example have, and face LeBron James billboards. When the San Antonio Spurs played their game against the Lakers last night, they seemed to have stayed in one of those Hotels. It left Gregg Popovich scared to death. He mentioned that seeing the 20-plus-story LeBron left him horrified. He even was too scared to look out his room:
“It was horrifying to see LeBron’s face outside my hotel room. It was a big picture of him. Last night and all day today I gotta look at this guy putting his headphones on. He’s already big and now he’s monstrous. I was scared to death. I was scared to look out my room.”
