Deandre Ayton Has Already Made NBA History
This year’s number one draft pick, Deandre Ayton has been pretty impressive so far in this young season.
Still one of the worst teams in the league (worst net rating in the league), having played a lot of games without Devin Booker, the Suns currently are on a seven-game losing streak. But they have to be pleased with their rookie stud so far, who’s only had one bad game in comparison to seven great ones.
This all led to averages of 16.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 0.8 blocks with some exceptional shooting percentages; 62.5% from the field and 75.0% from the line. He may not be the front runner for ROTY (Doncic is on a whole nother level), but he’s easily the best big man out of this year’s draft class.
Besides all that, Ayton has already made NBA history! Well, unfortunately for him, not the kind of history you’d like to be making.
During last night’s game against the Raptors (Ayton played well 17 points/18 rebounds), he was nutmegged four times! Yes, the Raptors threw 4 nutmeg passes through Deandre Ayton’s legs tonight. Truly impressive!
