Cavs Veterans Don’t Think Collin Sexton Knows ‘How to Play’
The Cleveland Cavaliers’ start to the season is an absolute nightmare. They are 1-8, and lost their sole remaining All-Star, Kevin Love, who is out indefinitely.
This past summer, Kevin Love signed a 4 year, $120 million contract extension with Cavaliers, and ended weeks of speculation that the Cavs would go full rebuild and trade their last star. This could turn out to be a mistake.
On top of that, first-round pick Collin Sexton has reportedly failed to impress internally. That’s what The Athletic’s’ Joe Vardon is reporting:
“It’s becoming increasingly clear that when you hear a Cavs veteran talk about younger players not knowing their role, or knowing how to win, or what to do on the court, they mean Sexton. Throughout the organization, the line on Sexton is that he does not ‘know how to play.'”
Cavaliers fans, it really is time to worry! That doesn’t sound too good.
