Nikola Vucevic Praises LeBron James Ahead Of Lakers Game
The Orlando Magic so far have been one of the most surprising teams of the young NBA season. They’re currently just one game under .500 and currently hold the 8th and final playoff spot. Everyone thought it would be yet another tanking season for the team, but they look pretty improved.
One of the reasons is the stellar play of their big man Nikola Vucevic, who is having a career year.
Vuc is averaging an impressive 19.8 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting an impressive 55.1% from the field and 82.7% from the line.
The Magic will play against the Los Angeles Lakers today and ahead of the game, Vucevic was asked about LeBron James and if he sees a different LeBron in LA, or the same. He responded:
“The same LeBron, the same best player in the world. He still does everything on the court even in year 16 he looks as good as he did in years five, six, seven. He had 44 the other night, he’s a great player and he does it all for his team he makes other guys better. When he needs to score, he scores he reads the game well and his IQ is out of this world. He reads the game so well so it makes it hard for opposing teams to make adjustments on him defensively. If you double team him, he’s going to tear you apart with his passing, if you help too much it will be the same thing, and if you don’t he’s going to score. He’s just so good at reading the game that it makes it so hard for the other team. We’re going to prepare the best we can in shoot around tomorrow and go over a lot of stuff that they [Lakers] do. It’ll be a fun game, playing against the greatest player in the world right now and one of the best to ever do it.”
