Kings-Warriors Game Overshadowed By Violent Fight
Friday’s game between the Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors was a great one. But according to recent reports, it was overshadowed by a violent fight between fans. One man suffered major injuries and another was arrested.
There isn’t any footage of the fight, but Sgt. Vance Chandler of the Sacramento Police Department explained that the fight started in the upper bowl of the arena.
Per Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee:
“One man pushed another man, who tumbled over a rail and fell more than 10 feet before landing headfirst on the concrete below. Emergency workers took the victim to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition late Friday night.”
The two were fans of opposing teams and, according to the report, intoxicated. With incidents like this happening more and more regularly, it’s only a matter of time until the NBA bans alcohol from the arenas.
