Heat Color Commentator Thought They Were Playing The Spurs, Not The Raptors

Humans are creatures of habit. When we watch a game with Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green teaming up, we’re still likely linking what we see with the information ‘it’s a gotta be the Spurs’.

But as all of you know, this past summer, the Toronto Raptors traded DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Pöltl and a 2019 first round pick to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green.

Sometimes though, our own brain plays us, just like this Heat color commentator’s played him during last night’s game between the Heat and Raptors. After Danny Green hit a three to put the Raptors up by two late in the game, the commentator said:

“Green triples to put the Spurs up two with just under 23 seconds left.”
