Jordan Brand Unveils Russell Westbrook’s New Signature Shoe
Last year, Jordan Brand added two new signature basketball athletes to their portfolio. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Russell Westbrook, whose first signature sneaker was released.
The brand now unveiled the second signature performance shoe of the triple double machine called the Why Not? Zer0.2 sneaker. It will first be released in a multi-color edition on January 10.
Westbrook explained that the new shoe was made to honor people close to him, with a family crest on the inner tongue, as well as a black block on the midsole, tributing his late best friend, Khelcey Barrs.
Westbrook said that the shoe is also inspired by the younger generations:
“My family and the youth, in general, inspire me constantly. I made sure that the “Future History” colorway of the new Why Not? Zer0.2 would be available for boys and girls of all ages. I even had our design team put my family crest on the tongue of the shoe.”
In a game full of chaos, @RussWest44 doesn't fear it. He owns it. #WhyNot pic.twitter.com/ne1SxSodMB
