ESPN Fell For A Twitter User’s Fake LeBron Instagram Comment And Aired It

Ever since Anthony Davis and his agent, Rich Paul, have informed the New Orleans Pelicans that Davis has no intention of signing a contract extension, and has requested a trade, the NBA world has been upside down.

There hasn’t been a single hour without any rumors or news about Anthony Davis.

While Davis prefers the Lakers as his next career destination, the decision eventually is not in his own hands, and other teams are in the mix, too.

But, the Lakers appear to be the front runner and every media outlet is desperate to be the first to break any news on that matter. One Twitter user now used it to his advantage (h/t to NBA reddit). Sreekar created a fake Instagram comment of LeBron James on a recent Anthony Davis post.

The funny thing is that ESPN fell for it and actually aired it as news.
