Suns Owner Put Live Goats In GM’s Office As Inspiration – Office Got Destroyed By The Goats
Well, if this isn’t the most Phoenix Suns story ever?!
The Suns have likely been the league’s worst franchise for the better part of this decade, not least thanks to owner Robert Carver. Carver has fired plenty of coaches and general managers, and the team hasn’t seen the playoffs in years.
The Suns are fighting the New York Knicks for the title of being the most dysfunctional franchise in the NBA.
A recent article from ESPN’s Kevin Arnovitz now revealed the best Suns story ever. Sarver apparently put live goats in former general manager Ryan McDonough’s office as a motivation and a sign to urge McDonough to find a GOAT for the Suns. As you can imagine, this didn’t exactly go as planned, in any possible way…
“FOUR YEARS AFTER naming McDonough general manager, Sarver acquired some live goats from a Diana Taurasi event at Talking Stick Resort Arena and planted them upstairs in McDonough’s office. The stunt was both a practical joke and an inspirational message — the Suns should find a GOAT of their own, one who dominates like Taurasi. The goats, unaware of their metaphorical connotation, proceeded to defecate all over McDonough’s office.”
