Kobe Bryant Says Ben Simmons Needs To Lock Himself In The Gym For 10 Hours And Learn How To Shoot
Ben Simmons’ rookie season has been one of the best rookie seasons in recent history. Everyone who was watching him plays knows that he could develop into a generational type of star. He’s got all the assets one needs to become that superstar in this league, besides a decent jumpshot.
This leads to opponents not guarding Simmons’ three point shot at all, at times. Simmons still hasn’t made a three point shot in his NBA career, but as of late, he’s shooting a little more often from deep. He should, but also during practice, a lot!
That’s also what former Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant now said in an interview. Kobe told the Herald Sun that Simmons should lock himself in the gym for 10 hours a day and practice shooting:
“He’s got to get a jump shot. It sounds stupid and all that but I’m serious. Because if not, he will regret it when his career is over….. What he is doing now without that is astonishing. Now imagine if he could shoot the ball. What does that open up for you? You don’t want to retire and look back and go ‘man, if I had a jump shot what would I have done?’ You don’t want that, so I don’t care if you have to lock yourself in the gym for 10 hours a day.”
