NBA Twitter Roasted The Pelicans For Wishing Anthony Davis A Happy Birthday
Well, I guess that’s what you call an own-goal.
Yesterday, New Orleans Pelicans All-Star big man Anthony Davis was celebrating his 26th birthday. The Pelicans therefore put out a congratulatory post on Twitter, which normally is a standard procedure. But in Anthony’s case it’s different.
Even though he clearly stated that he doesn’t want to be in New Orleans, and the Pelicans already removing him from their intro video, he still is on the team. There was no team the Pelicans’ front office could find an agreement with in a potential trade.
After the Pelicans put out AD’s birthday post, they probably knew that they were in for what you may call a sh*tstorm. And the fans didn’t disappoint.
