NBA Twitter Reacts To Magic Johnson Stepping Down As President Of Lakers
On a day where the focus solely should have been on Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade’s final home games, Magic Johnson’s decision to step down as Los Angeles Lakers president of basketball operations out of nowhere, sent the NBA into a frenzy.
Not only did he single handedly call in an impromptu press conference, Magic also didn’t tell anyone in the organization, not Rob Pelinka, and also not Jeanie Buss.
This is the perfect and most fitting ending to what has been a horrible season for the Los Angeles Lakers, who are now shattered into pieces even more than they were before. This also is a low blow to the team’s push in acquiring star free-agents who now think more than twice, before possibly even thinking of going to such dysfunctional franchise.
