NBA Twitter Reacts To Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul Trade
This NBA summer easily is the craziest NBA summer we’ve ever got to witness.
You almost can’t keep up with who will be playing for which team when the new season tips-off. Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, D’Angelo Russell, Kemba Walker, DeMarcus Cousins, Al Horford, Danilo Gallinari and Mike Conley all are All-Star talent players who switched teams in this off-season already.
Now, Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul will join that list.
Last night, the Oklahoma City Thunder traded Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Chris Paul, two first-round picks, and two pick swaps.
According to various reports, Harden and Westbrook had been working on a reunion ever since Paul George left the Thunder. Westbrook being traded to the Rockets still hit almost everyone in the NBA landscape out of the blue. NBA Twitter reacted accordingly and, as always, remained undefeated.
Rockets: No problems between CP3 and Harden, we love Chris, he's part of our team

They’re gonna have to cancel 2022 summer league and just make it a Thunder intersquad scrimmage.

Chris Paul: “I cant play with Harden anymore, I want out. Trade me.”
Rockets: “Okay, done.”
Chris Paul: “Okay great! Am I going to a contender? Only a contender could really trade for me, right?”
Rockets: “Actually you’re going to OKC.”

I can't believe OKC got picks to trade Westbrook. I know Morey doesn't care about draft picks (and always thinks his will be in the 20's) but how the hell did Presti just pull this off?
Am I crazy? This is robbery, right?

Is OKC currently in possession of the most first round picks ever?

Every long athletic wing who can't shoot might as well go ahead and declare for the draft right now.
