Former NBA player, John Salley, likely had one of the best imaginable careers for any NBA role player.

Sally became the first player in NBA history to win championships with three franchises (2 with the Pistons, 1 each with the Bulls and Lakers), as well as the first player (and only one of two, the other being Tim Duncan) in the NBA to win a championship in three decades.

Unfortunately, just like many retired athletes, Salley once was in need of some money. That’s when his former teammate Shaquille O’Neal jumped in for the help, no questions asked, that’s what he revealed in an interview with VladTV:

“When I needed cash, he said ‘how much?’… $70,000, and when I wanted to give back to him he said ‘nah, nah, we’re good!”
